KDADS will provide an agency update. Following that Dr. John Niccoletti will present: Too Much, Too Many, and Too Long; Trauma Contamination, Get Rid of it or You will have to Live with it.

This training is designed for health care providers who have to deal with stress, trauma and personal wellness on a daily basis. The training will be divided into two categories. The first category will focus on the trauma contamination process, the main symptoms of trauma which are intrusions and flashbacks and their effects on wellness and resiliency. The second category will focus on intervention and mitigation strategies for dealing with trauma at both home and work. The second category will include techniques for preventing the ‘Book of the Dead’ moving from the memory center to the conscious center.
