Leadership Fellowship

The Leadership Fellowship is a year-long leadership intensive, the traditional CFL experience. Participants are chosen through a competitive application process and demonstrate a desire to grow their leadership knowledge and skills. After completion of the program, they are designated Kansas Fellows and are becoming excellent leaders across the state. The program is led by professionals in human services with a passion for leadership development. This program is run on alternating years with the LeadingVoice Advocacy Bootcamp.

The program's first class graduated in 2009 and since that time has awarded over 160 individuals the designation of Kansas fellow. The goal of the Center for Leadership is to grow leaders in Kansas. Many of our graduates have gone on to take executive roles in their own organization or elsewhere in the field. Most graduates report experiencing a significant change in both their personal and professional lives because of the program.

Each class meets in-person four times a year with the following topics:

  1. Discovering Your Authentic Leadership:  To understand ourselves so we can better lead others
  2. Leading Through Advocacy and Community Relationships: To understand trust in advocacy and community building
  3. Leading Change: To explore our potential as change agents in our organizations and in the field of aging services
  4. Leading Empowering and Motivating: To uncover what motivates us and others and learn how to build successful team

Additional virtual small group meetings are held throughout the program year.

If you would like to take part but need financial assistance, Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America is a generous partner and provides scholarships to support this program.  They don’t want the cost to be a barrier to someone growing as a leader.  For more information on this scholarship program contact [email protected].

Applications for the Leadership Fellowship are currently closed. The next Fellowship will begin Fall 2025.
