We plan to reschedule this training. Description TeamSTEPPS is a teamwork and communication program that has proven effective in a variety of healthcare settings, including long-term care. The tools and strategies taught in TeamSTEPPS are intended to improve safety and outcomes. Class size is limited to 50 people to ensure the quality of the program and the effective transfer of knowledge. Faculty Courses will be taught by members of the Washburn University School of Nursing faculty and graduate students. Washburn University School of Nursing faculty utilize TeamSTEPPS in classroom, clinical and research applications. Goals and Objectives At the end of the course, participants will:
This program is approved for up to 10.5 continuing education clock hours for Adult Care Home Administrators, Adult Care Home Operators and Dietitians by the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services in the core of Administration. Approved Provider number LTSA0009. The Kansas State Board of Nursing approves the LeadingAge Kansas as a provider of continuing education. This course is approved for 10.5 continuing education hours applicable to RN, APRN and LPN re-licensure (KSBN LT0102-1116). All other disciplines will receive a certification of attendance.
