1:00 PM - 2:00 PM Zoom KING is pleased to sponsor this year’s Annual Workers Compensation Seminar. This will be a virtual offering via Zoom. This year’s seminar highlights include 2021 Safety Grant, KING Trends, OSHA Susan Harwood Grant and Legal/Case Law Update. KING is a group-funded workers compensation pool that has provided workers compensation coverage for members since April 1, 1990. KING is an innovator in workers compensation and has developed specific programs for elder care organizations:

Faculty Stephanie Gfeller is the Director of Special Projects for LeadingAge Kansas. Stephanie has over 15 years experience in adult education through work as an instructor at Kansas State University and long-term care outreach education and training. Stephanie developed nursing home training materials for the PEAK nursing culture change project and has been an invited educator at numerous regional and state long-term care conferences. Ed Reasoner is the Manager of Risk Management Services with Thomas McGee Group. Ed joined Thomas McGee in 2002 and has worked in the Risk Management Department since 2004. He has over 30 years industry experience working with a major insurance company and an international brokerage firm for most of his career. Ed has a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Northwest Missouri State University and has obtained the professional designations of Charted Property Casualty Underwriter and Associate in Risk Management. Mike Entz has been the primary legal counsel for the KING program for over nine years. Mike has defended numerous workers compensation claims and worked closely with Thomas McGee claims adjusters and LeadingAge Kansas members. Mike’s practice also involves multi-party commercial construction litigation. Mike earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in business administration from the University of Kansas, Masters Degree in Business from Washburn University and Juris Doctorate from Washburn University School of Law. Continuing Education: The Kansas State Board of Nursing approves the LeadingAge Kansas as a provider of continuing education.
