LeadingAge Kansas Benefits of Membership with sunflowers

Benefit of Membership: Professional Development

Spring Conference

Spring Conference is our largest annual education and networking event.  It brings together providers from across the state, topic experts and exhibitors from across the country for two days of learning and connecting.  It includes an expo to learn about new products, services and resources, motivating keynotes, and break out and general sessions on critical topics.

Fall Conference

Fall Conference is the smaller, more intimate conference for organizational decision makers.  This conference features keynotes, general sessions, breakout sessions and an expo.

Workshops & Bootcamps

The workshop and bootcamp education sessions dig deep into the area, topic or challenge they are created to address.  They provide application-based content and resources participants can take home and begin applying.  These are developed based on member request and feature topic area experts and providers.

Webinars

Our webinars provide all the learning and resources found at conferences, workshops and bootcamps without the travel time and travel expense.  Webinars are typically one-to-two-hour sessions focused on specific topics.  They include opportunities to interact with the presenter and have questions answered.  Many also include engagement through interactive polls or platforms, questions presented to the audience for responses in the chat, and facilitated learning and application exercises.

Have an idea for a webinar? We would love to hear it!

On-Demand Learning

Our newly developed On-Demand Learning program provides members with the opportunity for high quality training on relevant topics at their convenience.  The interactive learning platform supports learner engagement and allows for learners to earn continuing education credit on their own time. Preview our On-Demand training catalog here.

Education Advisory Committee

The Education Advisory Committee is made up of members from diverse roles and organizations who meet a few times per year (typically virtually) to discuss the education philosophy, policies and learning offerings of LeadingAge Kansas.  The group provides suggestions for educational and professional development needs, reviews proposals and presentation opportunities to help ensure relevance, and solicits feedback from peers to make sure the voice of members is being reflected in our education programming.
