Selection process

Educational programs are designed to accommodate a variety of learning formats including traditional instruction, case studies, panel discussions, facilitated networking/sharing, and innovative approaches. Sessions featuring LeadingAge Kansas members or highlighting their innovative practices are encouraged. This year, we are placing a strong emphasis on sessions that are interactive, application-based or use innovative teaching methods as well as sessions that help our members with innovation, future planning, and solving current challenges.  Need inspiration, take a look at this list of topic ideas.

Our education planning team is very interested in sessions with active learning activities, like hands-on exercises, case studies, simulations, etc. If you are selected to present, our team might work with you to integrate active learning activities into your session, if they are not already present.

Our education planning team will evaluate proposals based on:

  • Relevance to our members

  • Overall quality of content

  • Timeliness of subject matter

  • Engaging, interactive and innovative teaching and learning methods
